Meet Elyn Pow, a supermom, and entrepreneur. Elyn is the founder of Rawsome. Elyn started off in advertising for Leo Burnett before she decided to stop and focus on her family. As her kids grew older, the entrepreneur in her felt like she needed to start a business. So she founded Rawsome.

What is Rawsome?

Rawsome is a healthy food company that originated from selling chia seed pudding to healthy meals, smoothies and cold pressed juices.

Founded in June 2015, Rawsome created their signature product specializing in organic chia puddings, a healthier, less guilty dessert and meal replacement for those who are looking for weight loss. The whole idea is for people to eat right and adopt an active lifestyle. Using only the best ingredients focusing on quality, they provide the best for their customers at an affordable price

UNDERSTANDING YOUR BODY

When it comes to losing weight, we need to do it right. Fuelling your body with the right nutrients is crucial to your success. The goal is to gain muscle mass and less body fat. Stick to a diet of high-fiber carbohydrates, healthy fats, and lean proteins will help you shed some pounds. Remember that you are trying to lose weight not only to look better but to be healthier. A cheat day once a week is totally acceptable. You never want to go on a strict diet because it will backfire and will not show the results that you are looking for.

  • Implement a diet that is sustainable.
  • Educate yourself on what you can and can’t eat.
  • Enjoy the process.

FOODS TO AVOID

Cut down on your sweets! The fastest way to reduce sugar intake is to REPLACE your sweet/ flavored drinks with water. In some cases, this is the only change you need to see a change in your body.

Consume fewer carbohydrates. By doing this, your hunger levels will go down and fewer calories will be consumed. Now instead of burning carbs or energy, your body starts feeding off of stored fat.

FOODS TO EAT

Try to incorporate high PROTEIN sources into your meals. When it comes to losing weight, protein is the king of nutrients. Period. Here are some high-protein foods.

EXERCISE!

You do not need to lift heavy weights, just be active. Light cardio workouts like walking, jogging, cycling, or swimming will be adequate.
